Back to school is a celebratory time of the year! More than just a return to routine, it's a fresh start filled with possibilities. It's a time for everyone in education—administrators, teachers, families, and students—to re-ignite their goals for the school year ahead. What's your spark this school year?
PowerSchool is kicking off the school year by helping educators spark new beginnings. We’re celebrating the year ahead by helping to fulfill Amazon and DonorsChoose wishlists!
Share Your Spark and Enter to Win

- Who Can Enter: Any current K–12 educator or school professional working in the United States is eligible to participate. This includes public, private, and charter school teachers, paraprofessionals, counselors, principals, nurses, and other support staff.
- How to Enter: To enter between August 1 and September 15, 2025, participants must:
- Post your Reel or static post on your personal Instagram account
- Share your spark—a moment, goal, new school year resolution, or inspiration that’s fueling your school year
- Tag @PowerSchool
- Use the hashtag #StartWithASpark
- Include a link to your Amazon or DonorsChoose wishlist in your caption or Instagram bio
- Bonus Entry: Comment about your spark or school year resolution on a participating influencer’s post or PowerSchool’s dedicated post and tag two co-workers who help you shine. Bonus entries will be considered when selecting winners.
- Winner Selection: Up to 25 winners will be selected by PowerSchool at random. Winners will be chosen during the campaign period (August 1–September 15, 2025) and notified via Instagram DM from PowerSchool’s official page.
- Winners & Prizes: Each winner will receive a $500 gift card toward their classroom wishlist.
- Data Privacy: Your social media entry and related information will only be used for this campaign and will be deleted by September 30, 2025, unless required for legal purposes. Read our Privacy Statement.
- Publicity Permission: By entering, you agree that PowerSchool may use your name, image, and content to promote the Start with a Spark campaign on social media or other public-facing platforms.
- Fairness & Integrity: Only one entry per person. PowerSchool reserves the right to disqualify any fraudulent or spam-like entries.
Data Protection and Security at PowerSchool
Your privacy matters. All nomination and voting information are securely stored within PowerSchool’s internal systems and will only be used to administer the Start with a Spark campaign.
- We will never sell or share your data externally.
- Email addresses are collected only to verify nominations and votes.
- All nomination and voting data will be permanently deleted by September 30, 2025, unless legally required for tax or compliance purposes.
- If you win a prize, limited information will be retained as needed for tax reporting.
