Like a lot of K-12 districts, the School District of Pickens County isn’t sure what classes will look like after COVID-19. But whether it’s a distance learning or blended learning program, they know they’re prepared to continue their students’ education because they have PowerSchool Schoology Learning. We talk to Barbara Nesbitt, Ph.D., the district’s Assistant Superintendent for Technology Services, who says they’re ready for what’s to come based on having a solid digital learning plan, shared by all stakeholders, and built on a foundation of Schoology Learning. The district, with over 16,000 students and 1,150 teachers, chose Schoology as its LMS to help build quality lessons and to streamline their digital ecosystem with a product that was interoperable with its SIS and other applications to save teachers time. With Schoology, teachers get actionable data with valuable student analytics, drawn from assessment data tied into the system.
