PowerSchool is making significant investments in ERP and K-12 resource planning with new leadership and technology from Allovue. Today, we’re excited to share some changes we’re making based on your recommendations in these areas: Customer Service, Product, Integrations, Communications, and Feedback.
Our Vision
In early 2024, PowerSchool acquired Allovue, a leading provider of K-12 financial planning, budgeting, and analytics solutions.
Jess Gartner, the CEO and founder of Allovue, is now PowerSchool’s Group Vice President of ERP & Allovue solutions. Together, these solutions form the Resource Planning Cloud. The Allovue platform unlocks our potential to invest in new solutions that will enhance the success of our ERP customers.

Changes to Customer Service

Our Action Plan: Welcome new leaders for ERP Support and Services.
We are actively working to streamline our processes to ensure you have a great experience with implementation and support. We’ll also provide ongoing services to make sure you’re getting the most out of your ERP.
We’re introducing brand-new roles to focus on your customer experience and success. ERP systems are highly complex, so we’re creating a team dedicated to helping you maximize use of your ERP and channeling your feedback to product and services leaders.
We’re also going to offer a new Learning Bundle for enhanced training and best practices. The bundle will include access to our PD+ platform, fiscal- and year-end Seminar Series, a PowerPack of courses with live instruction, and an education concierge to help you make the most of your professional development.

Product Changes
Your Recommendation: More product innovation.
Our Action Plan: Prioritize innovation resources to improve functionality and user experience, add product features, and introduce exciting new offerings like PowerBuddy AI.
Over the next few months, we plan to expand our R&D teams to focus on big advancements for ERP customers. We’re still gathering feedback, but some emerging themes for our 2025 roadmap include: position control, procurement and contract management, grants and reporting, and connecting financial data to student outcomes. We’re excited to share more details with you this Fall.

Product Integration Changes
Your Recommendation: Smoother product integrations.
Our Action Plan: Build a team of data specialists to focus on interoperability within Resource Planning solutions (ERP & Allovue) and across all PowerSchool offerings (such as Talent).
The Integration team’s goal is to make sure all our Resource Planning products and partner solutions play nicely together so you have easy transitions from one application to the next. We’re already working with the product teams in Predictive Enrollment Analytics, Connected Intelligence, Analytics and Insights, and Talent to create a “better together” experience for you.

Communication Changes

Our Action Plan: Create a one-stop repository for all things K-12 resource planning: best practices, product updates, new research, and other communications specifically designed for district finance, HR, and operational leaders.

We believe progress in education is shaped by those who are open to speaking up about obstacles and exploring new options to overcome them.
