  • SSO Protocols (OIDC, SAML)​
    Industry standard single sign on identity protocol support
  • OneRoster​
    Open 1EdTech standard to provision groups of users, typically from a SIS, into other applications, like an LMS
  • LTI
    Learning Tools Interoperability is an open 1EdTech standard to support on-demand provisioning of users, typically from an LMS, into learning tools

  • Ed-Fi
    A set of rules defined by the Ed-Fi Alliance and funded by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation for how data should be formatted and exchanged between systems.​​
  • SIF​
    Another set of rules defining the structure for organizing and communicating education data, defined by the Access 4 Learning Community.​​
  • CEDS
    ​​The Common Education Data Standards is a collaborative sponsored by the National Center for Education Statistics to define common standards for a key set of education data elements

  • CASE​
    The 1EdTech Competencies and Academic Standards Exchange is an open standard for defining and exchanging learning objectives and standards
  • Common Cartridge
    This 1EdTech open standard defines a structured package for importing content and/or LTI links into an LMS. Common Cartridges are typically offered by publishers but may also be used to move content from one LMS to another.​
  • QTI
    The Question & Test Item open standard from 1EdTech defines interoperability of test items and results reporting. This standard is typically used in assessment platforms and in LMSs​
  • Grade/Score Pass Back (LTI, OneRoster)
    Grades, scores or other representations of student outcomes can be passed from one system to another using either LTI or OneRoster score pass back open standards from 1EdTech
